Thai Research Archives Repository: TRAR

National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT)

1. Scope​

Thai Research Archives Repository : TRAR, under the supervision of the Division of System and Strategic Information Management for Science, Research and Innovation, is to preserve Thai research archives and to provide digital access services to the documents that reflect Thai research development. The digital materials may belong to the National Research Council of Thailand or other related networking offices, and may also include books, periodicals, reports, publications, articles, other electronic media, etc. TRAR aims to service the internal staff of NRCT, students, educators and general public users.

2. Data Deposit

Researcher, stakeholder, facilitator or depositor must prepare the digital files in accordance with the standard file format and must register as member prior to submit the data at  https://archives.nrct.go.th/register. After registration, the data can be deposited using the provided template. Repository staff will review the deposited data for discrepancy and clearance before further data processing.

3. Division of System and Strategic Information Management for Science, Research and Innovation of the National Research Council

Main functions include:

1.​ Monitoring and administering information in TRAR by screening data quality and digital files to meet the international repository standards. When files are found incomplete or do not follow specified deposit procedures, the admin shall return such data to the depositor or reserves the rights to unpublish the information.

2. Sourcing and finding any useful archives that would benefit TRAR as a national research resources.

3. Publishing archives information under the predetermined copyrights or the redistribution rights specified by the owner including,

3.1 To publish only the index section;

3.2 To publish index section and full prints in PDF format;

3.3 To publish for view only by the NRCT internal access.

4. Maintaining, preserving and backing up the data for long term existence and accessibility of TRAR archives information.

4. Access and Use

Users can access and search all archives information listings in TRAR, according to specified copy and redistribution rights, via the website archives.nrct.go.th​.

5. Copy and Redistribution Rights

TRAR provides information services under Creative Commons open-copyright licences meaning users are free to share information or content shown on the website following the code  Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0), unless the copyright owner of a particular content has specified otherwise.
