GDCC standards and guidelines for the design of information infrastructure for government data.
This paper outlines standards and best practices for creating an information infrastructure and handling public data. It is crucial to learn how to utilize Data Driven Decision and Insight to Operation as more government agencies pay attention to data analysis and data integration amongst government departments. Having a framework for data processing and information structure is crucial. The framework will facilitate future easy interchange of government information, effective management of cyber security, and a data center architecture that is simple to comprehend, manageable, and cost-effective in procurement and administration.
However, the following significant variables are crucial to the success of government infrastructure management in order to accomplish concrete information utilization: 1) the hiring of IT employees; 2) the allocation of a structured budget; and 3) the creation of a policy. a simple, workable method for holistically regulating infrastructure management. The government must put its efforts into training workers who can manage big data and cloud technologies and who are also knowledgeable about cybersecurity. Efficient infrastructure management will afterwards arise from the supervision of a concrete plan to modify the infrastructure of government agencies (as described in this paper), a budget set aside for migration, personnel expansion, and obvious infrastructure upgrades.
As a result, the Government Data Integration System Architectural Design Sub-Committee collaborated with specialists and academic institutions to create the following standards and guidelines:
3.1 Create tools for assessing government data centers at the relevant ministry, department, and equivalent government organizations (Gap Analysis) for assessors to use as a reference for assessing and recommending suitable infrastructure models, including improvement or transfer plans.
3.2 Create a framework for choosing infrastructures by outlining the competency standards, infrastructure standards, and data characteristics that assessors will use to influence their evaluation.
3.3 Create plans for building and/or improving infrastructure, migrating appropriate systems, and designing information infrastructure and government data processing, including data centers, clouds, and big data fit for future operations.
