Types of data / files

In Thai Research Archives Repository (TRAR), there are types of data and files :-

  1. .doc file: Save the file as a PDF/a before publishing to prevent errors on display due to the unmatched version or unrecognized font by the reader program.
  2. .pdf file: Save the file as a PDF/a that can be read regardless if the reader program is an updated version.
  3. File in CD-ROM (CD/VCD/DVD): Convert file into .FLAC, .MP3, .WAV, and .MP4 file to reduce file size.
  4. Different size of print contents: Adjust or modify files to achieve same page size using an image editor program.
  5. Files with size bigger than 50 MB.: Reduce file size by decreasing image resolution or split the file into bundle or convert the file into smaller file type, such as convert PNG to JPG. Save as original file size but the service file (DIP) may be reduced or converted into smaller file type, such as from PNG to JPG.
  6. Pages contain dark spots, dark edges, prominent writing lines, or blurry files. - Clean the page by modifying or editing the file using an image editor program.
  7. Pages are not in the correct order - Rearrange the page using PDF editor program.
  8. File contains vulnerable or sensitive data or violation of copyrights, such as financial data to support research or budget received or detailed costing, and researcher history or personal data. - Recheck with the author to confirm removal of any vulnerable or sensitive data. Alternatively, the file is never uploaded or published in the system.
